An evening primrose

An Evening primrose is called "Tsukimisou" or "Matsuyoigusa in Japanese.

It belongs to Akabana family and is biennial prant.

It is said that it's  place of origin is Mexico and came over in 1848 to 1854.

Most prominent charactaristic is that it has bloomed from evening to

midnight. This is why this flower is often used for a metaphor of person

who isn't popular although he/she did successfully. The most famous

example is Katsuya Nomura. He is a professional baseball player in Japan.

He made a new record of Homerun. But in next year, Sadaharu Oh made a

 new record again.
